Policy committees are made up of city officials from across the state
The League’s policy development process begins each summer with meetings of the four policy committees. The committees shape the League’s legislative agenda for the next year.
The committees are composed of council members, mayors, and staff from across the state. Policy committee members volunteer to prepare for and participate in three policy committee meetings between July and September. These meetings are devoted to identifying emerging municipal issues as well as formulating draft positions on issues of municipal concern.
The LMC policy committees are:
- Improving Service Delivery Committee
- Improving Local Economies Committee
- Human Resources & Data Practices Committee
- Improving Fiscal Futures Committee
